The Foam Beetle is an effective terrestrial dry fly pattern along banks, behind rocks, riffles, and pockets on freestone and tailwater rivers. Highly effective as a solo dry fly, attractor, or with a dropper below especially from August-October. Easily one of my favorite dry flies to fish with!
This version, tied on a TMC2487 dry fly hook, features a peacock herl body, green harabou flash legs, black rubber legs, and thin black foam body, with a yellow hotspot topback for visualization tracking in the water.
